Qualifications

• Practical application of mass appraisal concepts and statistical analysis.
• Basic understanding of building construction, zoning codes, and related terminology.
• Proficiency with assessment-related computer applications (Microsoft Office, CAMA, Pictometry, GIS).

Responsibilities

• Perform professional residential real estate appraisals for low to moderate complexity.
• Conduct field inspections of single-family properties and related structures.
• Review real property sales and ensure accurate data in the mass appraisal system.
• Defend assessed values at Board of Equalization or other hearings when assigned.
• Interact with property owners or representatives to explain the assessment process and resolve inquiries.
