Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) is seeking a Part-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for our Drapelick program located in Bloomfield, CT. The role supports state and federal work-release clients in a congregate setting, helping them obtain full-time employment and financial self-sufficiency.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and FBOP background/training. Weekend shifts are 8:00am–4:00pm with a starting hourly rate of $20.25.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4 years in social service or criminal justice field preferred.
• Must pass a Federal Bureau of Prisons background check.
• Attend 40hrs FBOP required training prior to working FBOP clients.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Report to work 15 minutes before scheduled shift (example: 4pm–12am shift requires reporting by 3:45pm).
• Conduct Urinalysis.
• Provide updates on client issues and incidents.
• Verify passing items between shifts and ensure facility keys security.
• Conduct employment, job search and home confinement spot checks on each shift.
• Conduct searches of common areas, rooms, and perimeter and document results.
• Search pat/pocket areas for clients entering facility and document results.
• Confiscate contraband and complete incident reports.
• Complete hourly house counts (midnight–8am) and 2-hourly counts (8am–10pm).
• Transport clients in company vehicle as needed.
• Conduct monthly emergency drills.
• Secure urines from same-sex clients and complete paperwork and documentation.
• Supervise all client visitation and sign-in/out visitors.
• Complete intake on new arrivals and facilitate client orientation.
• Facilitate client movement in and out of facility.
• Monitor self-administration of medication by clients.

Job Location: CT - Drapelick Center - Bloomfield, CT 06002, Position Type: Part Time, Education Level: Bachelors Degree, Travel Percentage: License Required, Job Shift: First Shift, Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services, Community Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dedicated candidate to fill the role of a Part-time Residential Re-Entry Specialist for our Drapelick program located in Bloomfield, CT. Due to our contractual requirements, we can only consider male applicants for this role. These are programs for state and federal work release clients who live in a congregate setting and are supported as they obtain full‑time employment and meet financial and self‑sufficiency goals. The programs administer assessments, monitor compliance with treatment plan goals and involve clients in direct treatment services that address their criminogenic tendencies. Random breathalyzer or urinalysis, cognitive behavioral groups, home confinement monitoring, and case management to assist clients in maintaining stability leading to successful discharge.

Position Overview

• Report to work 15 minutes before their scheduled shift for example staff hired for the 4pm-12am shift are required to report to work by 3:45pm.


• Conduct Urinalysis.

• Monitor client’s self‑administration of medication.
