Job summary

Community Solutions Inc. (CSI) seeks a 2nd Shift Residential Re-Entry Supervisor at the Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. You will provide client supervision, ensure safety and security, and support program operations in an adult residential re-entry facility.

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 3pm–11pm. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a social science field and at least two years in social services or criminal justice.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11pm

Salary: $58,187.70

Community Solutions is seeking a 2nd Shift Residential Re-Entry Supervisor to join our team at our Drapelick Center in Bloomfield, CT. Drapelick Center is an adult residential re-entry facility. In this role you will provide client supervision and complete all required program operations. You will uphold all Agency policies and procedures pertaining to the safety and security of clients, Agency property and the community. You will also be a role model to the clients while providing a safe environment, facilitating counseling, advocacy and support. The program administers assessments, monitors clients' compliance with service plan goals, and involves clients in services that address their criminogenic tendencies. Through case management, supervision, and provision of evidence-based groups, clients gain the tools and support necessary for successful community re-entry.

CSI is becoming a trauma-informed organization by hiring individuals with existing experience in trauma-informed practices as well as supporting ongoing staff development with trauma-informed practices. This will include learning to recognize symptoms of trauma and how to respond, through training starting at orientation and throughout their career at CSI. CSI is committed to systematically evaluating the integration of the trauma-informed values of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment at all levels of the organization's policies, procedures, and structures to guard against the possibility of re-traumatization.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
A. Staff Development and Supervision:
  • Provide supervision and monitoring of Residential Re-Entry Specialist, coverage staff and shift activities as it relates to client supervision, security, emergency situations, maintenance and sanitation, and client accountability.
  • Provide direct supervision, training, and evaluation of direct care staff; including orientation training, and basic and advanced coverage training for newly employed and other staff as assigned.
  • Ensure that all direct care staff are in compliance with the training requirements set forth by the Agency and the funding sources.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback to the program director.
B. Policy and Program Monitoring:
  • Review all required documentation for content, timeliness, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance/quality assurance plan that assures compliance with policy, ACA standards, and contract requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain inspection ready status at facility level.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a social science field and two years’ experience in the social service or criminal justice field. Education may be substituted with experience on a year for year basis.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills desired.
  • Ability to engage and develop collaborations with community agencies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
