Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse at Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center in South Florida. The RN will provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to residents ages 5 to 17, following physician orders and facility policies.

Responsibilities include administering medications, conducting assessments, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure positive clinical outcomes. Florida RN licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN with current Florida license.
• One year of nursing experience preferred; psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred.
• BLS certification and crisis prevention training required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care per physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor resident progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team to promote positive clinical outcomes.
• Support the Charge Nurse in maintaining a safe, compliant, and therapeutic environment.
• Serve as a clinical resource for Mental Health Technicians and other direct care staff.

Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, therapeutic, and recovery-oriented nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements. The RN performs comprehensive nursing assessments, administers medications and treatments, monitors resident progress, responds to changes in condition, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team to promote positive clinical outcomes.

The RN serves as a clinical resource for Mental Health Technicians and other direct care staff while supporting the Charge Nurse in maintaining a safe, compliant, and therapeutic treatment environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Licensure

• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Crisis Prevention/Handle With Care (or equivalent) within required timeframe
• Additional certifications as required by facility policy

Experience

• One year of nursing experience.

Behavioral health, psychiatric, substance use, residential treatment, emergency, or pediatric/adolescent experience preferred
