Carabetta Property Management is seeking a reliable Security Guard to help protect our residents, property, and community in Springfield, MA. You will patrol grounds, monitor cameras, respond to calls, and maintain a visible, professional presence while enforcing rules.

The role requires prior security experience, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. A background check and drug screening are required, and the position is in-person on-site at a

Qualifications

• Prior security guard experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous security, property security, or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Must be reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
• Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
• Must be comfortable working in a residential property management environment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol apartment grounds, buildings, and common areas to identify suspicious activity, trespassing, and safety concerns.
• Monitor security cameras, access points, and property surroundings.
• Respond promptly to resident, management, and security-related calls.
• Respond to emergencies, including fires, medical emergencies, and security alarms, following established procedures.
• Perform routine checks of doors, gates, windows, and other access points.
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property.
• Assist residents and visitors with a helpful, respectful, and professional attitude.
• Enforce property rules and regulations fairly and professionally.
• Prepare accurate daily security reports documenting incidents, suspicious activity, and property concerns.
• Report maintenance and safety hazards to management.
• Work closely with property management and emergency personnel when needed.
