MAINTENANCE/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

What a Typical Day Could Look Like

As a Service Technician, each day is a new opportunity! You will operate under the mentorship of the Service Manager, handling daily maintenance responsibilities. You will ensure that homes are well maintained, the community runs smoothly, and vacant units are prepared for new residents.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Responding promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and concerns.
  • Preparing vacant apartments for new residents.
  • Organizing and inventorying maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Assisting with community inspections and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Participating in after-hours emergency on-call rotations.

Leadership and Development

  • Acting as the backup to the Service Manager and performing various maintenance tasks.
  • Handling emergency service tasks during on-call periods.
  • Communicating effectively with the Service Manager and Community Director.
  • Assisting with special maintenance projects such as preventive building maintenance, mechanical systems, and pool equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in apartment maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • EPA and HVAC certifications or willingness to obtain them.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work on a schedule that may include on-call emergencies.
