Itasca County Assessor's Department is seeking a qualified individual for the Assessor/Appraiser I or II role in Grand Rapids, MN. The position is full-time, with a 40-hour workweek and potential overtime. Regular field projects county-wide require reliable transportation and adherence to appraisal guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree in Real Estate, Land Use/Planning, GIS, Construction Management, Carpentry, or closely related field (transcript required).
• Two years' work experience in real estate, real estate appraisal or related field (mortgage lending, title work, property insurance).
• Experience with Word and Excel software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate, identify, view, measure, record data, and appraise residential and vacant properties to establish market value for Ad Valorem real estate tax purposes.
• Determine appropriate classification per guidelines and appraisal schedules and methods.
• Support field data collection and documentation for appraisals.
