Oak Hill is seeking a Residential Program Worker to provide direct support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities at Plymouth or Burlington, CT. This 40-hour/week union position runs Sun–Thu 7 a.m.–3 p.m., with pay of $18.50–$19.40 per hour depending on shift.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, daily living skills, supervision, medication administration, safety, and documentation in line with Oak Hill policies. Valid driver’s license required.

Job Description

Oak Hill is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Residential Program Worker (RPW) to provide direct support to individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities. This role focuses on delivering personal care, domestic services, medical and vocational appointments, community activities, supervision, and safety, while fostering independence, education, health, and dignity.

Location: Oak Hill’s Plymouth or Burlington site.
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Sun–Thu 7 a.m.–3 p.m.
Union position; pay $18.50 – $19.40 per hour dependent on shift.

Responsibilities

• Collect, record, and chart data for program maintenance and evaluation, meeting Oak Hill’s policies, procedures, licensing, and certification regulations.
• Maintain participants’ cleanliness, comfort and well‑being, and facilitate development of self‑help and daily living skills through guidance on personal hygiene tasks.
• Prepare materials for program participant–related activities or projects as needed.
• Promote and administer prescription and non‑prescription medications; document administration and any errors per Oak Hill’s policies; observe and report changes in behavior, physical and mental appearance.
• Apply Emergency First Aid and CPR procedures to protect participants and employees.
• Maintain confidentiality, treating information regarding participants with discretion and complying with all applicable policies and procedures.
