Job summary

Benchmark Human Services seeks a Residential Manager for our Dover, DE home. You will lead Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care in community settings.

The ideal candidate has management experience and a background with IDD or behavioral health, committed to empowering individuals served while ensuring safety and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled population.
• Experience working with individuals with high behavioral healthcare needs.
• At least 5 years working with IDD and/or DDD clients in a group home setting.
• Reliable transportation and valid auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individual served appointments and schedules.
• Assist in crisis situations and staffing coverage.
• Mentor DSPs in working with individuals served.
• Monitor spending and diet for individuals served.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the home environment.
• Build positive rapport and model respectful, caring interactions.
• Support the Program Coordinator in supervising and training DSPs.
• Document progress toward individual goals and outcomes.
• Facilitate community activities and ongoing training.
