Job summary

Volunteers of America, Dakotas seeks a Residential Supervisor for the CHOICES program to supervise Direct Support Professionals and ensure high‑quality services for people supported. The role oversees ISPs, treatment plans, and rights restrictions while guiding staff development and performance.

The supervisor collaborates with families and staff to plan activities, maintain schedules, and ensure timely, professional service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in counseling, social work, or related human service field.
• Minimum of two years related work experience, one in a residential setting.
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop staff schedule to ensure 24-hour coverage.
• Provide program orientation to new residential trainers.
• Assist with implementation of Individual Service Plans and treatment plans for all residents.
• Model and observe the implementation of ISP objectives and supports and services.
• Ensure coverage of open shifts as needed.
• Administer medications to participants as appropriate.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety standards.
