Job summary

The FCA Family & Children’s Association is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of Lakeview House Community Residence in West Hempstead, NY. The role ensures accredited service delivery to children and families in accordance with agency policies.

The position is full-time (exempt) with a salary range of $65,000 to $66,690 per year. The Program Coordinator will supervise staff, manage reports, coordinate trainings, and maintain regulatory compliance while fostering a

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human services and experience with children.
  • Master's degree preferred; LMSW/LMFT/LMHC preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years working with persons with serious mental health issues in a residential setting; 1 year supervising staff.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with the Director on a regular basis to discuss overall program effectiveness and progress.
  • Prepare and submit all reports and other required paperwork; supervise staff record-keeping.
  • Assist the Director in identifying program needs and containing program costs.
  • Supervise and coordinate staff training to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Coordinate intake processes, referrals, and supervision of staff within regulatory requirements.
  • Attend meetings and represent the program on committees as requested by the Director.

Education

Bachelor's degree in human services
Master's degree in human services (preferred)
LMSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred

The Opportunity

The Program Coordinator oversees the daily operations of Lakeview HouseCommunity Residence, ensuring the effective delivery of services to childrenand families In accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Meetwith the Director on a regular basis to discuss overall program effectivenessand progress. Keep the Director informed of all relevant information in atimely manner.
  • Prepareand submit all reports and other required paperwork in a timely manner.Supervise the record keeping of all staff in accordance with all regulations.
  • Assistthe Director in identifying program needs and containing program costs.
  • Superviseand coordinate the training needs of the staff to ensure effective delivery ofquality services.
  • Participatein the recruitment, evaluation, and termination of program personnel inaccordance with Human Resources. Keep the director informed and up to date asto the status of this area. Consult with the Director prior to any finaldecision regarding hiring, disciplining, or termination of staff.
  • Ensurethat appropriate lines for communication are developed and maintained betweenprogram staff, residents, and agencies providing services.
  • Consultwith OMH regarding referrals and screenings for the program.
  • Attendadministrative and supervisory meetings, and represent the program at meetingsand on committees, as requested by the Director.
  • Assuredevelopment and implementation of an Individual Action (Service) Plan forclients, as well as after care services in conjunction with appropriate staffand services.
  • Ensurethat the program and the house are operating in compliance with all regulatoryand funding sources and that all required paperwork, reports, and inspectionsare submitted in a timely manner.
  • Facilitateregularly scheduled staff meetings. Ensure the recording of minutes.
  • Supervisethe program and staff to ensure the effective delivery of services. Performregular written supervisions and evaluate performance of ResidentialSupervisor.
  • Ensureoccurrence of weekly house meetings (Community Meetings) and attend when able.Ensure staff and resident are recording of minutes.
  • Coordinateand participate in the interview and orientation of referrals as part of theintake process.
  • Supervisesstudent interns from local colleges and universities. Attend and completesupervisory training as needed.
  • Ensurethat residents maintain entitlements. Keep the Director up-to-date regardingany problems or changes in a resident's entitlement status.
  • Serveas the program's liaison to the community and outside providers (i.e. schools,referring agencies, medical and clinical treatment services, etc.).
  • Ensurethat petty cash and financial records are in accordance with agency and programpolicy and procedure.
  • Providecoverage as needed for staff shortages to maintain program operations.
  • On-call24/7 for any and all emergencies.
  • Assumeother tasks and responsibilities assigned to ensure the effective operation ofthe program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in the humanservices field and experience working with children. A master's degree inthe human services field is preferred. LMSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years working withpersons with serious mental health issues in a residential setting,minimum of 1 years supervising staff.
  • ValidNew York State driving license with a safe and responsible driving history.Active defensive driving certificate of completion. Ability to drive the agencyvan
