Job summary

New Jersey Association On Correction Inc is seeking a Residential Program Assistant to support the operation of a state inmate work-release program. You will supervise residents, assist with administrative tasks, and help ensure safety, security, and program integrity in the facility.

The role requires high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred), strong written/spoken communication, and computer literacy with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must be cleared by NJDOC and NJAC prior to employment.
• High school Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Relevant experience with human service clients.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Computer literate; experience with Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to navigate and utilize MIS system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the residence, its residents and program activities.
• Account for each resident in real time.
• Ensure safety and security of residents and staff.
• Provide supervision and surveillance of residents, visitors, facility and perimeter.
• Conduct facility searches to prevent contraband.
• Monitor entry/egress of residents and doors, medicine, supplies.
• Document calls and resident contacts in logs for continuity of services.
