Job summary

Western Heating and Cooling’s Plumbing department seeks an experienced Install Plumber to install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in residential and light commercial settings. The role requires reading blueprints, following codes, and leading apprentices when needed.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of plumbing experience, an Idaho Journeyman or apprentice license, and a valid driver’s license. We value integrity, safety, and teamwork in a family-run company with 1967 heritage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain water, gas, and drainage systems in residential/light commercial settings
• Install tankless water heaters, boilers, and related plumbing systems
• Complete full re-pipes, remodel plumbing, and rough-in work for new construction
• Install and service gas piping and distribution lines per codes
• Operate plumbing tools and equipment (pipe threaders, soldering, brazing)
• Collaborate with trades, contractors, and project teams to meet timelines
• Ensure work meets local codes, safety regs, and company standards
• Document work performed and materials used, with recommendations for future service
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and proper care of tools and vehicles
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company with integrity

Job Description:

The Install Plumber is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in accordance with local and national plumbing codes. This role requires a high level of skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or lead a small team of apprentices. The ideal candidate is experienced, safety-conscious, and capable of interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure proper installation and functionality of plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain water supply, gas, and drainage systems in residential and light commercial settings
• Perform installation of tankless water heaters, boilers, and related plumbing systems
• Complete full re-pipes, remodel plumbing, and rough-in work for new construction and renovation projects
• Install and service gas piping and gas distribution lines in compliance with applicable codes
• Operate plumbing tools and equipment such as pipe threaders, soldering and brazing tools, and system installation equipment
• Collaborate effectively with other trades, contractors, and project teams to meet construction timelines and project requirements
• Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Document work performed, materials used, and any recommendations for future service
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site, including proper care of tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company with integrity

Qualifications:
