ARCXIS is seeking Plumbing Designers and Engineers with experience in residential plumbing design, including Waste/Vent, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematics, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing in AutoCAD.

The role involves collaborating across disciplines to deliver cross-disciplinary design integration for our residential design needs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across project teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of Plumbing Design for residential systems preferred.
• Experience with Waste/Vent, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematics, Fire Sprinklers, Site Plumbing.
• Experience with mid-rise/multifamily residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Produce Waste/Vent Design, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematic, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing in AutoCAD.
• Design plumbing for single- and multi-family residential buildings.
• Generate detailed Plumbing Design drawings for construction documentation.
• Prepare Construction Documents in AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with design staff and drafters to complete projects.

General Overview of Position:

ARCXIS is seeking Plumbing Designers and Engineers with a wide range of experience who are skilled in Plumbing Design and Engineering of residential structures. This includes many aspects of the production of Waste/Vent Designs, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematics, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing in AutoCAD. Plumbing Designers and Engineers collaborate and partner across all disciplines to ensure the highest level of cross-disciplined design integration for a one stop shop solution to our partners residential design needs.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Job duties will be to produce Waste/Vent Design, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematic, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing in AutoCAD
• Plumbing Engineering and Design of single- and multi-family, low- and high-rise residential design plans
• Generate detailed Plumbing Design drawings in AutoCAD for construction documentation of design plans for bidding and construction
• Prepare Construction Documents in AutoCAD
• Work with design staff and drafters to complete project

• Compute dimensions from architectural plans

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent comparative experience.
• Preferred 3+ years’ experience in Plumbing Design for residential building systems, code compliance, and construction.
• Plumbing Design experience with production of Waste/Vent Design, Water Piping, Isometrics, Gas Schematic, Fire Sprinklers, and Site Plumbing.
• Plumbing Design experience with mid-rise multifamily buildings, mixed use buildings, residential and enclosed parking garages.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday day shift, however additional hours, including weekend hours, may be required in accordance with changing business needs.
