Job summary

Silliman Group, LLC is seeking a skilled Residential Plumber to join our growing in-house team in Chicago. The role focuses on installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties.

You will read blueprints, work with water, waste, gas, and hot liquid systems, and ensure all work complies with code. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on plumbing experience, strong knowledge of building codes, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• City of Chicago Plumbing License (Preferred).
• 5-10 years of hands-on plumbing experience.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and plan system layouts.
• Valid driver’s license + reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
• Comfort working in physically active environments (ladders, tools, tight spaces).

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Work with water, waste, gas, and hot liquid systems.
• Install fixtures, piping, valves, water heaters, and treatment systems.
• Test systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure code compliance.
• Partner with Service Techs and contractors to complete projects efficiently.
• Manage work orders and maintain accurate reporting.
• Support emergency on-call needs (with additional pay).

What You’ll Do
