Job summary

Western Exterminator Company is looking for a dedicated Pest Control Technician to perform residential pest management. You will inspect properties, identify infestations, apply treatments, and advise customers on prevention strategies to protect homes and families.

Role requires safety-conscious handling of chemicals, strong communication with clients, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Training is provided, and safety standards are paramount.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) to start.
• Valid driver’s license from home state.
• Licenses/certificates as required by regulations (covered by us).
• Available to work Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to learn all areas of pest control.
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to identify signs of pest infestations and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products (chemicals, baits, traps) safely and effectively.
• Educate customers on pest prevention and maintaining a pest-free environment.
• Build relationships with customers and schedule/confirm appointments; assist with sales where appropriate.
• Ensure pest control equipment is maintained, stocked, and functional.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal pest control regulations and safety protocols.
• Safely operate a company-provided service vehicle.
