Job summary

Gilbert Crossing Apartments is seeking a skilled in-house painter/laborer to maintain and refresh units during turnovers and to service common areas. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, estimating materials, mixing and applying paint, and using a range of tools to achieve a quality finish.

Requirements include 1+ year of painting experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong attention to detail with good time management. Teamwork is valued and power tool experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous experience as a Painter for residential or commercial buildings.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Skill with paint, varnish, and other associated products.
• Superb attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Previous experience working with power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls and other surfaces through sanding, taping off outlets, repairing cracks, etc.
• Estimate time and materials needed
• Mix and apply paint, varnishes, and necessary solvents
• Use a variety of tools to achieve the desired finish on the painted surface
• Set up and take down additional equipment as needed
• Maintain all tools and equipment
• Perform final inspection to ensure quality and accuracy of work
• Adhere to workplace safety rules and regulations
• Assist the maintenance team with outside vendors
