Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential or commercial painting preferred.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and painting materials.
- Ability to work safely at heights using ladders and scaffolding.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Reliable transportation to jobsite in St Clair County area.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting including cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
- Select and mix paints and coatings to match color specifications
- Set up and safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment
- Apply caulking, sealants, and primers as needed before painting
- Protect floors, furniture, and fixtures with drop cloths and masking tape
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site throughout each project
