New Day Recovery in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Residential Director of Nursing to lead nursing care in a detox/residential program. You will supervise clinical staff, ensure regulatory compliance and maintain safe staffing ratios to deliver high-quality patient care in a sensitive treatment setting.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), active Louisiana nursing license, 2+ years of supervision and 2+ years clinical experience, plus knowledge of DHHS, JCAHO, 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA.

Formación

• BSN preferred and active nursing license.
• Minimum 1 year emergency or med-surge nursing experience.
• 2+ years of clinical experience and 2+ years of supervision.
• Must pass State of Louisiana background and driving record checks.
• Current certifications in BLS/CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens.
• Knowledge of 42 C.F.R. Part 2 and HIPAA.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with DHHS and JCAHO regulations preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional nurse management and individual care services in a detox/residential program.
• Leads daily treatment team meetings with staff and Chief Medical Officer.
• Supervises medical, nursing and housekeeping staff; interviews and evaluates performance.
• Ensures logging, documentation, tracking and reporting per regulations.
• Maintains nursing records and creates SOPs; trains staff as needed.
• Manages in-services required by licensing and JC standards.
• Oversees staffing levels and ensures safe nurse coverage.
• Directs the medical department; schedules staff and develops corrective actions.
• Maintains staff schedules and inventory of medications and supplies.
• Updates policies and signs off on nursing documentation.
• Responds to crises and on-call responsibilities; may perform charge/admissions/staff nurse duties as needed.
• Maintains professional boundaries with clients.
• Collects data on adverse reactions and errors; presents at team meetings.
• Drives quality improvement initiatives and root cause analyses.
