The Merrimack in New Hampshire is seeking two Mortgage Loan Officers to originate residential mortgage and home equity loans, guiding borrowers through the lending process and developing referral relationships within the community. In this customer-focused role, you will work from Hooksett or Windham branches, serving Southern New Hampshire with strong communication and mortgage lending expertise.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of banking experience with residential mortgage knowledge.
• NMLS registration required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong sales, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage and home equity loans in accordance with bank procedures, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist new and existing customers by phone and in person, identifying financing solutions that align with their needs.
• Review borrower documentation, including income, assets, tax returns, and credit information, to support loan qualification.
• Manage loan files from application through closing, resolving documentation issues and helping ensure a smooth process.
• Build and maintain referral relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and community partners.
• Promote additional bank products and refer customers to internal partners when appropriate.
• Participate in business development activities, training programs, and community events.
