Job summary

New Roads Behavioral Health in Utah is seeking a Residential Mentor to support young adults in a structured residential setting. You’ll help residents build life skills, form positive relationships, and practice independence during hands-on shifts.

This role offers weekday and weekend shifts, with a pathway to a salaried position after a 90-day probation period, and benefits that support you as you grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to drive a passenger van as part of the job.
• Experience in caregiving or behavioral health is helpful but not required.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification.

At New Roads, our Life Coaches play an important role in helping young adults build confidence, develop life skills, and work toward greater independence. This is an active, hands‑on position where you’ll get to know the people you support, encourage their progress, and help create a positive residential community.

We are currently hiring for 4–5 shifts per week, with openings for the following shifts:

• Weekday day shifts: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekday evening shifts: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Weekend day shifts: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Weekend evening shifts: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

What Does a Typical Shift Look Like?

As a Mentor, you’ll help residents navigate everyday challenges while developing the skills they need for long-term success. Responsibilities include:

• Building positive relationships and serving as a consistent, supportive role model.

• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and structured living environment.
