Job summary

BRIDGES Community Treatment Services, Inc. in El Monte, CA, is seeking a Mental Health Worker to provide direct care in a residential psychosocial rehabilitation program for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.

Under supervision, you will support treatment planning, medication management tasks, transportation, meal preparation, and documentation using agency EHRs, while maintaining safety and DMH/CCL compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from high school or possess a GED and have 1+ year of full-time experience (or part-time equivalent) in a program serving people with mental disabilities.
• Experience must be in direct provision of services to clients.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a good driving record.
• Must be able to obtain background clearance.
• Knowledge of laws/regulations governing mental health/ social services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care in a psychosocial rehabilitation residential program for adults with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders.
• Assist with case management, treatment planning, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Teach and model daily living and socialization skills; support meal prep and household chores.
• Monitor and document treatment progress using agency EHR and other software.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, outings, and other activities.
• Monitor medication administration and support client self-advocacy.
