Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to support residential services. Under supervision, you will administer medications, monitor effects, and help residents achieve self-care and community integration.

The role requires a state-approved Medication Aide course, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills. Evening shifts and a patient-focused team culture are provided at Broadlawns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of state-approved Medication Aide course mandatory.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience with psychiatric disorders preferred.
• Ability to teach, educate and role model skills for clients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure medications are administered as directed and documented per policies.
• Review IPP and RTP to align training and guidance.
• Assist clients with self-care, group activities, and community integration.
• Document observations and outcomes accurately for program records.
