Job summary

St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) seeks a Residential Master Level Clinician to serve as primary therapist for children in a therapeutic residential program in Saint Augustine, FL.

You will provide individual, group, and family therapy per each child\'s treatment plan and ensure comprehensive documentation. The role requires a Master\'s degree in a behavioral health field, at least two years of clinical experience, and the ability to manage crises while collaborating with a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage crisis situations and provide therapeutic interventions.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Florida licensure or licensure eligibility preferred (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Registered Intern).
  • Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Primary Therapist for up to ten children in residential care.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy services in accordance with each child's treatment plan.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan updates, progress reports, and other required clinical documentation.
  • Perform case management functions including assessment, planning, linking, advocacy, monitoring, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding treatment progress.
  • Coordinate psychiatric, psychological, and other clinical services as needed.
  • Administer required evaluations, outcome measures, and CFARS assessments.
  • Communicate with legal guardians, parents, guardians ad litem, case managers, and other involved parties regarding treatment progress and significant events.
  • Coordinate and facilitate family therapy sessions, including evening and weekend availability as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, state regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support to residential staff to promote effective implementation of treatment plans.
  • Participate in the agency's on-call rotation schedule.

Position Summary

The Residential Master Level Clinician serves as a primary therapist for children residing in our therapeutic residential program. This position provides individual, group, and family therapy services while collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, caregivers, community partners, and referral sources to ensure comprehensive treatment and support for each child.
