Position Summary:
The position is responsible for coordinating daily operations to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality care delivery. This role oversees staffing coverage, medical coordination, documentation accuracy, and preventative home maintenance while ensuring effective communication among staff, families, medical providers, and pharmacies. The position supports compliance with all Federal, State, and internal policies, addresses issues as they arise, and escalates concerns to the Qualified Professional as appropriate. The role includes rotating on-call responsibilities and may require direct shift coverage when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing staffing schedule and ensuringappropriate coverage.
- Schedule and track medical appointments
- Assistin providing andreceivingnecessary informationduring medicalappointments.
- Ensure all orders, diagnoses, and care needs are communicated to staff, family, and pharmacy asindicated.
- Review MARs to ensure accuracyand supply of ordered medication.
- Ensure all First Aid kits are properly stocked andstored.
- Ensure emergency copies of medicals are up to date, secured, andtransported.
- Ensuresincident reporting (GER in Therap ) is completed within designated timeframe and report to QP for direction.
- Complete preventative home maintenance as outlined in checklist for monthly reporting.
- Complete weekly and monthly assigned duties anddocuments. Submit to supervisor.
- Address issues as they arise and discern those that must be communicated to Qualified Professional (injury, complaint, behavioral or medical change, med supplyconcernor med error,etc.).
- Ensure that Federal, State, and internal guidelines and policies are followed.
- Performs all other dutiesassigned.
- This position does have rotating on-call duties and may require providing shift coverage.
Required Qualifications:
- Education - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common medical and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from people servedand their loved ones. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups. Ability to interact clearly andeffectively,inbothwrittenandoralcommunicationwithsupervisors,staff, and people we serve.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply simple mathematics to practicalsituations.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
- Other Qualifications - Valid driver's license isrequired, auto insurance and registration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in the field
- Two years of supervisory experience
- CPR & First Aid
General Knowledge and Skills (will possess at time of employment or will be expected to learn upon employment)
- Knowledge of the dynamics of developmental disabilities, developmental delay, mental health and the impact upon persons served and their families; the social factors involved with (IDD or MHD); the up-to-date principles/ techniques (best practices) of residential services, community service for (IDD) and the application to individuals possessing (IDD); the community resources available to persons with (IDD or MHD), to include Person Centered planning, educational/vocational and rehabilitative services, have an understanding of dual diagnoses of individuals such as: depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, and/or brain injury. The knowledge of IMPACT of the Piedmont policies and procedures, such as: Employee Ethics, Corporate Compliance, Human Rights, Confidentiality, HIPAA, Cultural Awareness and Person-Centered Plan, as well as understanding of funding services and service definitions.
- Skill in the application of Person Centered Goals, best practices as defined by the NC Division of MH/DD/SUD, and/or literature/research, and organizational policy/procedure; skill in the delivery of services using accepted treatment modalities (to include monitoring, linking, assessing, and coordinating); skill in establishing/maintaining effective therapeutic relationships with persons served and/or their family members; and, skill in accurately documenting services provided and billed.
- Ability demonstrated in the application of evidence based on best practice models, interventions, and referral techniques of Residential IDD services.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 60 percent of the time while working with those we serve. The individual needs to occasionally move about the facility to assist those we serve. The individual frequently positions self to assist those we serve with self-care. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must regularly push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds.
While performing the duties of this Job, the individual is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The individual frequently works in a controlled climate.
