Job summary

Cortland is seeking a Service Technician to help create a safe, well-maintained, and comfortable living environment for residents. You will perform routine maintenance, support turnover, maintain common spaces, and deliver prompt, friendly service.

The role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general upkeep, along with reliable, punctual work ethic and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or related work preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of household repairs and use of hand tools (or willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general apartment upkeep.
• Complete make-ready tasks to ensure vacant units are clean, functional, and ready for new residents.
• Maintain overall property appearance, including daily ground upkeep and trash removal.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly, professionally, and with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and seasonal projects assigned.
• Report safety hazards, recurring issues, or larger maintenance needs to your supervisor.
