Job summary

The Preserves Apartment Complex is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of the community, including apartments, common areas, and grounds. Under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform a wide range of repairs and preventive maintenance.

You will handle make-ready units, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC care, and snow removal, with a rotating on-call schedule and emphasis on safety and quality workmanship in outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment, residential, commercial, or general maintenance.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and repairs.
• HVAC knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete make-ready units for new residents.
• Perform repairs on showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and exteriors.
• Handle electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair HVAC systems; HVAC knowledge is a plus.
• Participate in a rotating 24-hour on-call schedule.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance and pool upkeep as needed.
• Coordinate and complete special maintenance projects.
• Perform snow removal and winter weather maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the community.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the apartment community, ensuring that all units, common areas, grounds, and building systems are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete make-ready units to ensure apartments are ready for new .
• Perform general repairs and maintenance on showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
• Perform a variety of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC systems. HVAC experience is a plus.
• Participate in a rotating 24-hour emergency on-call schedule and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
• Perform routine grounds maintenance, including litter pickup, sweeping, light landscaping, and general community upkeep.
• Maintain and service the community pool when needed. Pool maintenance experience is a plus.
• Coordinate and complete special maintenance projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform snow removal and winter weather maintenance as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the apartment community.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
• HVAC knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to participate in the rotating on-call schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical maintenance duties, including snow removal.

Position Details

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience
