Job summary

Russo Property Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a luxury multi-family property in Hackettstown, NJ. The role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and grounds upkeep, with an emphasis on timely repairs and thorough preventative maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work weekends and evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED education required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Reliable transportation; on-call availability.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders within 24 hours and notify supervisor of delays.
• Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances and carpentry issues.
• Coordinate make-ready repairs with leasing staff and ensure on-schedule completion.
• Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
• Maintain records for preventive maintenance and service requests.
• Stay current with building codes and safety standards.
• Assist with trash removal and snow clearing.
• Manage workshop inventory with maintenance supervisor.
