Job summary

Russo Property Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our luxury multi-family properties in Hackettstown, NJ. You will perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances, ensuring high standards of curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include responding to work orders within 24 hours, coordinating make-ready repairs with leasing staff, and staying current on safety codes.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to respond to on-call emergencies.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances, and snow removal.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.
• Professional, courteous demeanor and customer-first attitude.
• Proactive self-starter and team player.
• Available for weekend inspections and weekday evening resident meetings.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently complete all daily work orders within 24 hours.
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues involving electrical, plumbing, A/C, HVAC, appliances and carpentry.
• Work with leasing staff team to ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed and on schedule.
• Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies.
• Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, building mechanicals, service requests and apartment make-ready status.
• Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards.
• Assist with trash removal. Maintain trash rooms and dumpster areas.
• Assist in the proper clearing of snow during a snow event.
• Coordinate proper workshop inventory with maintenance supervisor.
