American Avenue Property Management LLC is seeking a Residential Handyperson/Maintenance Technician to service homes across the metro. You will perform repairs, inspections, and turnovers, traveling daily to multiple properties and documenting work via handheld devices.

Ideal candidates have multi-trade expertise (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical), own tools, a valid license, EPA certification, and strong communication skills to provide excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Multi-trade knowledge across carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.
• Customer-focused with strong resident communication.
• Own tools and have a truck or van; valid driver’s license.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Comfortable using handheld devices for work orders (iOS).
• Knowledge of building codes, EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Available for emergency/on-call requests.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).

As a Residential Handyperson/Maintenance Technician, we call Property Engineer's (PE), you’ll be the face of AA, representing our values and commitment to residents and the community. As a PE, you’ll play a key role in ensuring tenant satisfaction by inspecting, repairing, and maintaining homes. You’ll proactively identify and address issues, setting the standard for our relationship with tenants through excellent service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical work.
  • Must be proficient in residential HVAC (strong preference for candidates with advanced HVAC and Plumbing)
  • Troubleshooting + Installs
• Travel from home to home within your metro daily
• Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle minor pre-renovation repairs, utility inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
  • Ability to "Turn" homes (repairing/light renovation to home from one tenant to the next) a must
• Maintain and document property conditions using handheld technology (e.g., iPad, iPhone).
