Job summary

American Avenue Property Management LLC is seeking a Residential Handyperson (Property Engineer) to inspect, repair, and maintain single-family rentals nationwide. You will handle carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical tasks and run pre-renovation punch lists while keeping tenants informed and safe.

Ideal candidates own their tools and a vehicle, have solid problem-solving skills, familiarity with building codes, and communicate clearly with residents.

Qualifications

• Proficient in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical work and general maintenance.
• Strong communication with residents and team members.
• Owns tools and a truck/van for on-site work.
• Valid driver's license and proximity to work locations.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Comfortable using handheld devices for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including Carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical work.
• Evaluate vacated homes to create a punch list of necessary repairs, replacements and cleaning tasks.
• Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle minor pre-renovation repairs, utility inspections, and basic troubleshooting.
• Cosmetic Refurbishment - patch drywall, painting, replace LVP flooring, and deep cleaning.
• Maintain and document property conditions using handheld technology (e.g., iPad, iPhone).
