Valley Handy in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Residential Maintenance Technician to service occupied and vacant homes across the Phoenix metro area. The role requires a jack-of-all-trades approach, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional communication with residents and clients.

• 2+ years of residential maintenance, construction, handyman, or repair experience.
• Experience with residential painting and drywall.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• The ability to manage your schedule and work independently.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Basic hand and power tools.
• The ability to use a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and job documentation.
• The ability to safely perform the physical requirements of residential maintenance work.

Residential Maintenance Technician

Valley Handy | Phoenix, AZ | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

Are you the person who can walk into a home, figure out what’s wrong, and get it fixed?

Valley Handy, the maintenance division of Capstone Realty Professionals, is looking for a skilled, dependable Residential Maintenance Technician who wants more than just another maintenance job.

The right person is a well-rounded, jack-of-all-trades technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, communicates well with customers, and can work independently. What You’ll Do

You’ll work throughout the Phoenix metro area servicing occupied and vacant residential properties. Your days will include:

• General residential maintenance and repairs




• Painting and drywall repairs




• Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical troubleshooting




• Installing fixtures, appliances, hardware, and other components




• Completing property turns and punch-list items




• Diagnosing problems and determining the right repair




• Preparing estimates and identifying needed parts/materials

You’ll primarily work independently, so we’re looking for someone who can think, troubleshoot, make good decisions, and take ownership of their work.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to know how to fix everything. You do need strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to figure things out.
