Job summary

CMHA is seeking five full-time General Maintenance contractors in Cincinnati to perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general upkeep on rental properties. Pay is $22 hourly for candidates with at least two years of relevant experience; total bill rate should be included with resumes. Work is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of maintenance, construction, or related experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize work assignments.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required; no more than six points in three consecutive years.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing repairs, including fixtures, sewer lines, and drain stoppages.
• Troubleshoot and repair furnaces, hot water tanks, and basic electrical systems.
• Install and repair lighting, switches, outlets, doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring.
• Complete carpentry, painting, drywall, and general maintenance repairs.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy and maintain common areas.
• Maintain property curb appeal by keeping grounds and facilities clean and hazard‑free.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and team members.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas.

CMHA is currently in need of five full‑time contractors for the position of General Maintenance.

Contract Duration: Until July 31, 2026.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:40 p.m., with a 40‑minute unpaid lunch. Weekend hours may be required on occasion. Interviews will be conducted by CMHA Human Resources. The role is needed immediately, pending background and 10‑panel drug screening. Driving required. Property Management office location will be within Cincinnati.
