Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Director in Dallas, TX to lead a maintenance team while performing hands-on tasks and ensuring resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities include preparing make-ready units, completing service requests, and coordinating with residents, vendors, and leadership. The role requires HVAC/EPA certifications, 1–2 years of related experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (preferred).
• Yardi software experience (preferred).
• EPA, HVAC I & II, CPO and local certifications required.
• 1–2 years of previous full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.
• Able to read service requests and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading maintenance team.
• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and team.
• Respond to emergency calls outside standard hours.
