Schochet is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at Essex Village and King’s Grant Apartments.

Essex Village and King’s Grant is a 265-unit multi-family apartment community located in North Kingstown, RI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Schedule and assist with daily operations (service orders, repainting/re-carpeting, apartment turnovers, etc.)
2. Coordinate service contracts and oversee vendor and contractor activities
3. Communicate effectively with residents, fellow associates, vendors, and supervisors
4. Inspect vacated apartments, complete ‘make-ready’ checklists, and inform the manager of needed services and repairs
5. Be available and often on-site during weather or property emergencies

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day maintenance operations of the property. This role includes training and mentoring the maintenance team and being hands-on as well as performing administrative duties. The role requires proactive communication and collaboration with the property manager to address daily maintenance needs. Extensive experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, and unit turnover procedures is required. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of residential property maintenance and supervisory experience. Must live within 30 minutes of North Kingstown for on-call rotations and have a valid driver’s license and own transportation. Additionally, a $150 premium is paid for each week on-call, plus time-and-a-half pay for emergency calls and travel time.
