Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to uphold the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our community spaces in Boston, MA. You will diagnose resident service requests, complete make-ready tasks for move-ins, and perform monthly preventive maintenance in accordance with policy.

Strong tool use, safety awareness, and customer service are essential to ensure a high-quality resident experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; related experience may substitute.
• Experience in property maintenance or related trades.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and diagnose defects.
• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units and inspections.
• Schedule vendors/contractors and obtain supplies.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools; work with manager on budget.
• Perform routine and monthly preventative maintenance procedures.
• Assist in safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and MSDS.
