Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Experience in housing authority or similar environment preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural components.
• Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to minimize disruption to tenants and operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to complete larger repair projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize tasks.
• Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants by addressing maintenance concerns professionally and courteously.
