Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment buildings and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and property management staff in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of units and common areas to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist with the repair and preparation of vacant units for new tenants, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the property manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems and repairs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

This is a temp-to-hire position after a probationary period. Valid identification and legal work status in the U.S. are required.

Drug testing required; Medical Marijuana Card not accepted due to work nature.

Background checks are required; this is a Felony-Free campus.

Pay rate is initially provisional; actual pay depends on experience. Please have your resume ready.

Leadership experience, HVAC expertise, and EPA Certification can increase pay to up to $20 per hour or more.
