Job summary

Fort Wayne Health Campus in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a full-time maintenance helper to keep the building safe, clean, and functional for residents. You’ll assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and moving heavy items, learning from experienced staff while contributing to daily operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Full-time availability: day shifts, weekend on-call rotation, rotating holidays.
• Able to work with residents, families, staff, and vendors.
• Maintenance or trade experience welcome, but on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspect equipment and building systems for safe, proper function.
• Handle incoming and outgoing freight and run errands as needed.
• Move furniture and equipment around the building.
• Assist with resident evacuation during emergencies.
• Collaborate with other departments to keep the building running.
