Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Hawaii Job Corps Center in Makawao, HI, seeking qualified staff for residential living and career counseling roles. This full-time position includes dormitory management, secretarial duties, and recreation coordination in compliance with government directives.

Youll plan and supervise department activities, hire/train staff, implement safety trainings, and ensure accurate record-keeping and program delivery for students, with an annual salary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with three years of related experience; two years in supervision preferred.
• Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
• Flexibility with work schedule is a must.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
• Hire, train, and coach staff.
• Establish and implement training programs for employees and students on safety, security, residential living, and recreation departments.
• Review and audit areas for contractual compliance; prepare related reports.
• Direct program changes; evaluate programs for new students and staff.
• Ensure records for the shift and dormitories are maintained; monitor timeliness and quality of student case note entries in CIS.
