Job summary

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton in Hammonton, NJ is seeking a Residential Counselor to support residents within a residential setting under supervision of a House Manager and program directors. You will help residents develop daily living skills and participate in recovery planning, while ensuring safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Provides support services including daily living skills and life skill development.
• Supports residents in weekly program schedules and outside activities.
• Maintains the security and safety of the residents and the facility.
• Participates in the development and implementation of the Individual Recovery Plan for each resident.
• Communicate, in written & verbal form, assessments & observations of consumers to other treatment team members.
• Supervise and monitor residents in self-medication.
• Maintains accurate/current client documentation according to accrediting standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to residents in daily living activities and skill-building.
• Assist residents with weekly schedules and participation in activities.
• Maintain safety and security within the residential facility.
• Contribute to creating and updating Individual Recovery Plans.
