Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Lead Custodian to maintain clean and sanitary bath facilities, common areas, entrances, and private living spaces. This role also directs custodial staff, provides training, and leads project and floor care teams.

You will manage supplies, inventory, and equipment, and support staff with computer-based tasks. The position requires supervising and coordinating day-to-day custodial operations, following safety procedures, and working with university vehicles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of custodial work including floor care and carpet cleaning.
• Valid driver’s license required.

• Lead custodial staff, train teammates, and ensure safety and quality.
