TruGreen is hiring a Residential Lawn Care Technician to join our Columbia, SC team. You’ll manage your own route, work outdoors, and deliver visible results for homeowners with the support of paid training and certification.

You’ll earn starting wages at $17 per hour, have opportunities for overtime, bonuses, and a clear path for career growth while enjoying benefits after 30 days and company match for retirement, plus discounts and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old at hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass MVR and background check.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable, self-motivated, customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route (DOT certification eligibility).
• Apply lawn care treatments to residential and commercial properties.
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions and services.
• Manage route and customer information using a tablet.
• Build relationships with customers and deliver excellent service.
• Work outdoors in a fast-paced, independent environment safely.

What You’ll Do

What To Expect

• This is a physically active role that includes:
• Walking an average 10-12 miles outdoors throughout the day
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating equipment safely
• Serving multiple customers each day

What You’ll Need

• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass MVR and comfortable consenting to a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable, self‑motivated, customer‑focused mindset
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
