Job summary

The Northeast Treatment Center (NET) in Kirkwood/Wilmington, DE is seeking a BHA/Kitchen Support Specialist to manage daily kitchen operations, prepare meals, ensure food safety, and support dietary needs for clients in a residential setting.

In addition to kitchen duties, the role includes providing Behavioral Health Associate support to clients as needed, fostering a safe, respectful environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food service, kitchen, dietary, or institutional food-service experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, residential care, healthcare, or similar setting preferred.
• Food-handler or ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks according to the facility's meal schedule.
• Follow approved menus, portion guidelines, and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times.
• Monitor refrigerator, freezer, and food storage areas; assist with inventory.
• Support BHA duties and provide client-facing assistance as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries and follow confidentiality requirements.
