The Residential Kitchen & Bath Remodel Technician is responsible for performing skilled remodeling and renovation work in residential kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas of the home. This position requires a well-rounded understanding of residential construction, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Perform demolition and preparation work for residential kitchen and bathroom remodeling projects.
- Complete various aspects of remodeling, including framing, drywall, trim, cabinetry, flooring, tile, painting, and finish carpentry.
- Install and adjust cabinets, countertops, doors, trim, hardware, and other finish materials.
- Perform tile installation, including layout, cutting, setting, grouting, and finishing.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Measure and lay out work accurately to ensure proper fit, alignment, and finish.
- Identify potential issues or changes needed during the remodeling process and communicate them to the project manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout each project.
- Work professionally and respectfully in customers’ homes while providing a positive customer experience.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards and project specifications.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable building codes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working condition.
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of workmanship and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in residential remodeling, construction, or a related skilled trade preferred.
- Experience with kitchen and bathroom remodeling strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in multiple areas of residential construction and finish work.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Strong measuring, layout, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
