We are Universe Home Services, a proud local business serving homeowners across Nassau and Suffolk counties with expert HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical solutions. Located in Farmingdale.

Now Hiring: Full-Time Residential HVAC Service Technician

Shifts available: 8:00am - 4:00pm & 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday - Friday. Weekends and nights available!

You will play a key role in providing top-notch services to ensure that our customers’ homes are safe and energy-efficient. Join us in making homes across Long Island better, safer, and more comfortable for everyone.

You will lead troubleshooting and repair efforts, diagnose HVAC issues on residential and commercial units, handle warranty services efficiently, and respond promptly to emergency repairs.

What You Will Do:

• Diagnose and repair HVAC units.
• Perform HVAC servicing, repairs, and maintenance for residential clients.
• Provide the best solutions for customers.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient project completion.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, managers, parts, and installation teams.
• Educate and assist customers in choosing the best finance options and maintenance plans.

Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience in a related field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Knowledge of HVAC codes, electrical safety, and proper application.
• Strong math skills.
• Knowledge of gas systems and appliances.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to develop heating, ventilating, and air conditioning system modification plans.
• Ability to run after-hours calls as required.

• Perform preventive maintenance on gas heating systems and related equipment.
• Explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Communicate effectively and respond to customer questions.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
