Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Noblesville, IN is seeking a Residential HVAC Technician who services and repairs heating and cooling systems in customer homes. You diagnose issues, provide solutions, and deliver excellent customer service on every call.

EPA certification and experience in residential service and sales are required. You will attend trainings, interact with customers, and contribute to a growing, employee-owned team that values integrity, ownership, and service.

Qualifications

• EPA certified residential HVAC technician with experience in residential service and sales.
• Ability to diagnose HVAC issues, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Interact and communicate well with customers in homes and businesses.
• Understand IAQ, air distribution systems and basic HVAC repairs.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair heating and cooling systems in customer homes.
• Diagnose issues, provide solutions, and ensure excellent customer service on every call.
• Inspect systems thoroughly and quote replacements or repairs accurately.
• Participate in on-call assignments and ongoing training sessions.
• Maintain professional and friendly work environment and follow company policies.
• Lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs and work on ladders as needed.

Qualifications

• We are searching for highly motivated EPA certified Residential HVAC Technicians with experience in residential service and sales.
• Candidates must have the ability to learn to determine residential HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Employees must be able to interact and communicate well with customers in their homes and businesses.
• Candidates will understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs of HVAC appliances and fixtures.
• Attend training to expand knowledge base and areas of expertise and further certifications expected.
• All interested candidates must currently be able to learn to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems as well as install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer's specifications and applicable codes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders
• Must be able to use hand and power tools
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.

• Be thorough in inspections, and accurate in quoting replacements or repairs.
• Completion of proposed work as quoted.
• Participate in on-call assignments and back-up as required.
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.

• Work hard, smart and efficiently.
• Follow the outline of company policies and procedures.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.
