Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling seeks a Residential HVAC Technician to service and repair home heating and cooling systems. You will diagnose issues, provide practical solutions, and deliver top-notch customer service on every call.

The role involves hands-on work, training to expand certifications, and interaction with customers in their homes and businesses. Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, and ladder work, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• EPA certified Residential HVAC technicians with residential service experience.
• Ability to learn to determine service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Strong communication with customers in homes and businesses.
• Understanding of IAQ, air distribution, and basic repairs of HVAC systems.
• Willingness to attend training and expand knowledge and certifications.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair various residential HVAC systems and IAQ products.
• Must lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs., crawl, climb, kneel, and use tools safely.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair heating and cooling systems in customer homes.
• Diagnose issues, quote prices, and provide solutions with excellent customer service.
• Be thorough in inspections and accurate in quoting replacements or repairs.
• Participate in on-call assignments and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications

• We are searching for highly motivated EPA certified Residential HVAC Technicians with experience in residential service and sales.
• Candidates must have the ability to learn to determine residential HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Employees must be able to interact and communicate well with customers in their homes and businesses.
• Candidates will understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs of HVAC appliances and fixtures.
• Attend training to expand knowledge base and areas of expertise and further certifications expected.
• All interested candidates must currently be able to learn to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems as well as install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer's specifications and applicable codes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.

• Be thorough in inspections, and accurate in quoting replacements or repairs.
• Completion of proposed work as quoted.
• Participate in on-call assignments and back-up as required.
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.
