Job summary

HomeServe USA is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems. You will work with dispatch to prioritize service calls, read electrical schematics, and ensure safety and quality in every job.

The role requires EPA universal certification, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service. Proficiency with basic computer data entry is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong HVAC experience in residential areas preferred.
• Universal EPA Certification with 1–3 years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, write, and read English.
• Ability to work independently.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC/plumbing systems and related equipment.
• Familiar with using computers for data entry and queries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Dispatch to ensure work orders are received and attended to promptly.
• Diagnose malfunctions in residential HVAC units to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Repair heating and cooling systems and related components to ensure operation.
• Manage repair costs and minimize inefficiencies.
• Achieve first‑time fixes and meet productivity and customer service goals.
• Maintain tools and inventory for safe operation and availability.
• Respond to emergencies to resolve safety concerns.
• Transport tools and materials to job sites.
