Job summary

Townsend Energy in New Hampshire is seeking a Residential Heating Oil - Delivery Driver for the November through April season. The role involves loading and delivering heating oil to residential locations, following routes safely and on schedule, with on-call rotations and occasional Saturdays.

Full-time hours with company benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid holidays, and vacation. CDL Class B or higher and required Hazmat/Tanker endorsements, plus DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• At least one year of oil delivery experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.
• CDL Class B or higher (Class A preferred).
• Current Tanker, Hazmat, and Air Brake endorsements.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and other DOT requirements.
• Safe driving habits and commitment to customer service.
• Familiarity with GPS systems, smartphone navigation, and route planning.
• Basic tablet and data entry skills.
• Ability to maintain delivery logs and required documentation.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload fuel trucks for daily deliveries.
• Deliver heating oil safely and accurately to customer locations.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour (based on experience), plus bonus opportunities

Shift:

Day shift, 8-hour schedule with flexible start times

Schedule:

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous fuel delivery experience
• CTEP Certification
• Massachusetts or New Hampshire Propane License
